Support to HealthCare Professionals in the delivery of the spot/timely just-in-time HC services that take into account individual personal preferences and rights.
Support to Citizens in making informed decisions about therapy and nutrition, and assisting them in determining their health status in a timely manner.

Creation of a homogeneous knowledge base accessible within the PIPS environment, integrating the knowledge from heterogeneous data sources, for example: drugs, food, HC professional decision. PIPS intents to propose guidelines concerned nutrition, fitness, nutritional therapy. Moreover, PIPS will include Clinical Data, Health Status Data and Behaviour about the Citizen.
Trust models and tools for sensitive data protection, privacy protection and trust case development.
Protocols for the integration in the PIPS environment of state-of-the-art smart diagnostic, health status monitoring, product traceability devices and location-based services.
Deployment of the integrated platform into two pilots.
An extensive outreach and training programme of External Expert Elicitation and Outreach Group (E3OG), covering experts from health, nutritional and technological domains.
The aim of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for Health (also known as eHealth) is to improve significantly the quality, access and efficacy of healthcare for all citizens.
ICT for Health describes the application of information and communication technologies across the whole range of functions that affect the health sector.
The main objective of this eHealth Action Plan is to enable easy and equal access to quality healthcare for all citizens in any place and at any time in the European Union.
